Lillie Knauls worked for the telephone company for 22 years before she joined the Edwin Hawkins Singers - the group that had the first Number One gospel crossover hit, “O Happy Day.” She’s now a Dove Award-winning solo artist, a 30-year veteran of the Gaither Homecoming Friends videos, and a member of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
