Winsome Sears
Lt. Governor-Elect of VA
Winsome Sears was born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1964. She completed an associate degree from Tidewater Community College, a B.A. in English from Old Dominion University in 1992, and an M.A. in organizational leadership at Regent University in 2003. She's also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. This last week, she made history as the first woman of color to be elected Lt Governor in the state of Virginia.
